PhD.in Econ., Asisst. Prof. Bayramov Shakhin Vaqif
He was born on July 4, 1979.
In 1996 he graduated from Mingachevir lyceum of Natural, Mathematical and Human Sciences.
In 1996 he entered the faculty of International Economic Relations of Azerbaijan State University of Economics and in 2000 received a bachelor’s degree in International Economic Relations. In 2001, he entered the Masters of Aserbaijan State University of Economics, and in 2003 received a master’s degree in International Economic Relations.
In 2005 he entered the doctoral studies of 91è. In 2012 he defended his dissertation on the theme ” EU Neighborhood Policy and Prospects for Integrating Azerbaijan into the European Economic Area ” and in 2012, by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, he received PhD in economics.
From January 2005 to September 2016, he worked as Senior Laboratory Assistant, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor at the Department of International Economic Relations of 91è of Economics. In 2005-2009, he worked as a Manager in Master Business Administration (MBA) Program at 91è, in 2009-2011 he worked as a head of department at the centre of Distant and Additional Education.
From November 2012 to April 2017, he worked as a vice-rector for International Relations and Programs at Azerbaijan State University of Economics.
In 2015, she was chosen as the winner of the Hubert H. Humphrey Program implemented by the Institute of International Education under the US State Department within the framework of Fulbright Scholarship and participated in professional development trainings in the United States.
In the 2015/2016 academic year, she received professional education in Higher Education Administration and Academic Leadership at the College of Education of University of Pennsylvania . He also participated in a six-week internship at Cornell University.
During his studies in the United States, he has participated in numerous professional trainings and forums on higher education management, academic leadership, university management, academic management in crisis situations, decision-making, human resource management, negotiating .
From April 2017 to July 2019, he worked as a deputy head of the department of Science, Higher and Secondary Specialized Education at the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Since September 2018, he has been working as an Associate Professor (0.5) in the Department of Economics and Management at the Center for International Masters and Doctoral Studies at 91è of Economics.
In 2009 he was chosen as a winner of the US State Department’s “Junior Faculty Development Program”, and studied economics at Indiana University in Bloomington (the USA).
By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated July 31, 2019, he was appointed rector of Mingachevir State University. He worked in this position until May 20, 2024.
By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 20, 2024, he was appointed the rector of Karabakh University.
